I bet I have more sisters than you!!!

I have more sisters than anyone I know. The rare opportunity presented itself this month to get a pic of me & all my sisters. For your blogging pleasure, here is a little sister trivia.

1. This sister is NINETEEN years younger than me, but more organized than I'll ever be, and quite possibly the best babysitter ever.
2. I now have SEVEN sisters, but this one was my only sister up until I was 21 years old.
3. This poor sis walked into the delivery room just minutes after I'd given birth & got some graphic reminders about the virtues of abstinence.
4. I met this sister for the first time at the airport. She was two and had some choice words for me.
5. This sister is also my cousin in law- she married my brother. Our children will genetically be VERY similar to each other.
6. This sister is the godmother of my daughter.
7. This sister lives the farthest away- in South Africa.

Hot Wheels

It is entirely impossible to post this video without mentioning the fact that I got this $26 toy of $6 with coupons in November. This is a video for the grandparents.

VIDEO BONANZA BLOG

Jo loooves cottage cheese. Doesn't like peas. We try to sneak 'em in when we can. Of course on this video she gags at the cheese & gobbles the peas. Ornery kid. Her snorting laugh at the end is adorable, and worth eating your veggies for :)

Crabby cousins, why we force this sort of thing at bedtime I'm not sure, but it never fails to be entertaining

Darling Sav shows how she can step on her own

SURPRISE! we had a surprise party for cousin casey a few weeks ago- we made all the cousins hide in jo's room in the dark for about 10 minutes. Please ignore my gawking smile at the camera...like I didn't know I was on camera? oh well- the rest of it is cute. I love my cousins!

What do tigers dream of????

I have awesome in-laws. Meet Matt Heihn. Devoted father, doting husband, semi-perfectionist and your stereotypical oldest kid (which is probably why i like him so much- oldest kids are the best, most productive, and typically the solar system of any family unit). He is great at remembering jokes, and apparently memorizing songs, as depicted below, in his debut music video covering "What do tigers dream of?" from the Hangover...

Also, what's up with him and this knife? Does anyone else find this mildly disturbing???

PS- i do NOT have his permission to post this online, so enjoy his song while you can...it could be short lived :)

Sav turns ONE!

Let her eat CAKE

a smile worth a million bucks

Daddy's bday girl

And the BEST part? for her bday Sav is getting a little brother or sister!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to the Heihn family on baby numero dos!

Friendship, Forced

This is what happens when you introduce two cousins to their lifelong destiny of bff-ship.

I loooove these dimples-

Matching pj's, and matching frowns.

If I had to marry a fictional man...

...it would be Jamie from Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. Don't worry- Luke knows Jamie (he's a fan of the series too) and he's cool with it. Outlander is my absolute all time favorite book/series. It is set in 18th century Scotland & while I would by no means classify it as a 'romance novel,' it is the most lovely love story I've read. The books are 3 inches thick each, there's 7 of them, and the newest installment is published so I'm re-reading the series so I can FULLY enjoy the latest book. These books were recommended by my mom originally, who I ignored until Traci & Kristen at work suggested them too. Give 'em a try, but keep your paws off Jamie. He's my fictional husband.

The Hermit Crab Skuttle

Jo started crawling yesterday! She's likes to keep her right leg straight to push herself along. The best incentives so far are remote controls, cell phones, and cameras. It is SO fun when your kid learns new tricks!!!
